Spiritual Practices

What are Spiritual Practices?

“Follow me…” (Jesus of Nazareth)

Our Spiritual Practices team creates environments and experiences so we can help each other be with, think like, and be mistaken for Jesus.

Spiritual practices are intentional habits and relational rhythms that create space to be transformed by the grace of the Holy Spirit into the character of Jesus for the glory of the Father and the love of the world.

Read on to view our upcoming sessions, meetups, and experiences, as well as to learn more about each practice.

Gospel of Matthew Devotional

Our Gospel of Matthew devotional helps you engage the good news of Jesus as you trust and follow Him. Together, we move from information to transformation by processing God’s truth in Scripture.

In this plan, you’ll read through the entire Gospel of Matthew, experiencing how Jesus fulfills God’s story through His birth, life, death, and resurrection as our promised King.

Our devotional begins on February 15 and ends on Easter Sunday. Click below to learn more.

Sessions

Sessionsare practical, interactive teachings where leaders share one spiritual practice from the life of Jesus, the text of Scripture, the history of the church, and the experience of their life.

Sessions are designed for participants aged 11th grade and older.

Meetups

Meetups are small, relational groups designed to apply spiritual practices from session teachings to specific life situations. At meetups, people can ask questions, share strategies, and encourage each other to pursue spiritual practices. Everyone is always invited, even if they have not attended the corresponding session.

(Each meetup is offered at two different times to accommodate different schedules. The content of both meetups is the same.)

Experiences

Experiences are communal environments where people can come together to do a spiritual practice. Experiences include contemplative prayer, prayer hikes, solitude retreats, and Scripture meditation.
