Baptism at Copper Hills

What is baptism?

Baptism is a physical sign of the spiritual reality that we have been united to Jesus by faith.

Here at Copper Hills, our mission is to help each other do the next moment with Jesus so we can increasingly be with, think like, and be mistaken for Him.

Baptism is one important way we fulfill our mission. Baptism signifies how our faith has united us to Jesus as those who have died, risen, and now live in Jesus by the Spirit.

Because baptism is such a significant step of public obedience to Jesus as our King, every person considering baptism begins by attending our Exploring Baptism session. After completing the class, they will meet with a pastor before deciding to schedule their baptism.

Exploring Baptism - Adults & Students

Exploring Baptism is a one-hour session for adults and students 6th grade and older to ask questions, explore truth from Scripture about baptism, and create a written account of your personal journey with Jesus.

If you sense God leading you to explore more about baptism at Copper Hills, your next step is to attend Exploring Baptism. Choose from our upcoming or future classes.

We’re excited to see how Jesus will use this step to help you be with, think like, and be mistaken for Him.

Exploring Baptism - Kids

Exploring Baptism - Kids is an interactive, engaging one-hour session for 3rd - 5th graders that explores the good news of Jesus and the biblical foundations for baptism for kids.

Kids will not be pressured to make a decision about baptism. This is only an informational session.

Each Exploring Baptism for Kids is offered at the same time as our Exploring Baptism session for adults and students. These sessions are usually timed six weeks before a Baptism Sunday.

Attending Exploring Baptism is a required part of our baptism process at Copper Hills.
