We believe in Jesus’ mission: To make lifelong apprentices of all nations in His kingdom. 

And we also believe in Jesus’ method: Intentionally investing His life in small network of deep relationships to see powerful transformation. 

No one is perfect, but we believe Jesus has put many mature followers here at Copper Hills who can be examples to those who want to grow in their faith. As a spiritual mentor, you would commit to meeting with one mentee…

·      Eight times

·      Once a month

·      For 60 minutes

·      To ask spiritual formation discussion questions designed to help them see how the good news of Jesus can shape the spiritual, emotional, intellectual, physical, relational, vocational, and custodial aspects of their life.

One mentor. One mentee. Eight conversations based on God’s truth in Scripture and the way of Jesus. This could be the beginning of a journey of lifetime apprenticeship to Jesus and a catalyst for our church to become a community of compelling love in our city.

Requirements for Mentors: Spiritual mentors must be people who are mature followers of Jesus, have attended Copper Hills for at least six months, who have attended Copper Hills 101, and who regularly engage in a rule of life: a set of spiritual practices and relational rhythms that help someone be with Jesus. All mentors must personally meet with Dave or Matt and be approved by them.

Information on Mentees: Mentees can include anyone at any age who wants to grow as an apprentice of Jesus. This includes newly baptized people, LifeGroup members who want to grow deeper with Jesus, people who are going through suffering or transition, and people who struggle with patterns of behavior that they want to change.
