Spiritual Practices: Lament (Grieving with Jesus)

  • Copper Hills Church 27035 Black Rock Boulevard Peoria, AZ, 85383 United States (map)

“Jesus wept.” (John 11:35)

“He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain…” (Isaiah 53:3)

Are you grieving? Do you feel invisible? We’re exploring the biblical practice of lament by bringing our grief to God. In this three-part session, we’ll…

  1. Discover the structure of the Psalms of lament as a guide for bringing our grief to God in prayer.

  2. Listen to a recorded Q&A from Daniel, our licensed Counseling Pastor, on questions surrounding spirituality and the grieving process.

  3. Hear from a panel of families in our church who have suffered the loss of a loved one and are on a healing journey with Jesus.

The God we meet in Jesus is a God Who knows our suffering because of His cross and Who will wipe away every tear by the power of His resurrection.

Whether you are in the middle of a grief journey or know someone who is grieving, this is an opportunity to receive encouragement and hope as we practice bringing our grief to God together.
